La civilisation occidentale a choisi depuis le second Moyen Age de concevoir l’\u00eatre humain et sa vie selon un paradigme dualiste. Celui-ci, affirmant que l’\u00eatre humain n’a d’autre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 que physique et psychique, corporelle et mentale, le condamne de ce fait \u00e0 vivre enferm\u00e9 dans les limites \u00e9troites de sa \u00abpersonne\u00bb et, de ce fait le coupe inexorablement, tant de son int\u00e9riorit\u00e9 v\u00e9ritable que du monde ext\u00e9rieur, tant des animaux que des plantes, tant des autres hommes que de Dieu.\u00a0Mais l’humanit\u00e9 a connu et conna\u00eet encore des paradigmes anthropologiques non dualistes dont le plus important est certainement le grand paradigme ternaire \u00abcorps, \u00e2me, esprit\u00bb qui, en Orient, marque d’une empreinte si profonde les conceptions de l’hindouisme, du bouddhisme et du tao\u00efsme et qui, en Occident, joua un si grand r\u00f4le dans le christianisme ancien.<\/p>\n
