Eh bien, Dieu a fait ses promesses \u00e0 Abraham et \u00e0 son descendant. L’\u00c9criture ne d\u00e9clare pas\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0et \u00e0 ses descendants\u00a0\u00bb, comme s’il s’agissait de nombreuses personnes\u00a0; elle d\u00e9clare\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0et \u00e0 ton descendant \u00bb, en indiquant par l\u00e0 une seule personne, qui est le Christ. Voici ce que je veux dire\u00a0: Dieu avait \u00e9tabli un testament et avait promis de le maintenir. La loi, qui est survenue quatre cent trente ans plus tard, ne peut pas annuler ce testament et supprimer la promesse de Dieu. Mais si l’h\u00e9ritage que Dieu accorde s’obtient par la loi, alors ce n’est plus gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la promesse. Or, c’est par la promesse que Dieu a manifest\u00e9 sa faveur \u00e0 Abraham.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quel a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 le r\u00f4le de la loi\u00a0? Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e pour faire conna\u00eetre les actions contraires \u00e0 la volont\u00e9 de Dieu, et cela jusqu’\u00e0 ce que vienne le descendant d’Abraham pour qui la promesse avait \u00e9t\u00e9 faite. Cette loi a \u00e9t\u00e9 promulgu\u00e9e par des anges qui se sont servis d’un interm\u00e9diaire. Mais un interm\u00e9diaire est inutile quand une seule personne est en cause, et Dieu seul est en cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cela signifie-t-il que la loi est contraire aux promesses de Dieu\u00a0? Certainement pas\u00a0! Si une loi avait \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9e qui puisse procurer la vraie vie aux hommes, alors l’homme pourrait \u00eatre rendu juste aux yeux de Dieu par le moyen de la loi. Mais l’\u00c9criture a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le monde entier est soumis \u00e0 la puissance du p\u00e9ch\u00e9, afin que le don promis par Dieu soit accord\u00e9 aux croyants, en raison de leur foi en J\u00e9sus-Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tandis que J\u00e9sus faisait route vers J\u00e9rusalem, il passa le long de la fronti\u00e8re qui s\u00e9pare la Samarie et la Galil\u00e9e. Il entrait dans un village quand dix l\u00e9preux vinrent \u00e0 sa rencontre. Ils se tinrent \u00e0 distance et se mirent \u00e0 crier\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0J\u00e9sus, Ma\u00eetre, aie piti\u00e9 de nous\u00a0!\u00a0\u00bb J\u00e9sus les vit et leur dit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Allez vous faire examiner par les pr\u00eatres.\u00a0\u00bb Pendant qu’ils y allaient, ils furent gu\u00e9ris. L’un d’entre eux, quand il vit qu’il \u00e9tait gu\u00e9ri, revint sur ses pas en louant Dieu \u00e0 haute voix. Il se jeta aux pieds de J\u00e9sus, le visage contre terre, et le remercia. Cet homme \u00e9tait Samaritain. J\u00e9sus dit alors\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Tous les dix ont \u00e9t\u00e9 gu\u00e9ris, n’est-ce pas\u00a0? O\u00f9 sont les neuf autres\u00a0? Personne n’a-t-il pens\u00e9 \u00e0 revenir pour remercier Dieu, sinon cet \u00e9tranger\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb Puis J\u00e9sus lui dit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Rel\u00e8ve-toi et va\u00a0; ta foi t’a sauv\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n
