Vous savez que lorsque vous \u00e9tiez encore pa\u00efens, vous \u00e9tiez entra\u00een\u00e9s irr\u00e9sistiblement vers les idoles muettes. C’est pourquoi je tiens \u00e0 vous l’affirmer\u00a0: aucun \u00eatre guid\u00e9 par l’Esprit de Dieu ne peut s’\u00e9crier\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Maudit soit J\u00e9sus\u00a0!\u00a0\u00bb, et personne ne peut d\u00e9clarer\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0J\u00e9sus est le Seigneur\u00a0!\u00a0\u00bb, s’il n’est pas guid\u00e9 par le Saint-Esprit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il y a diverses sortes de dons spirituels, mais c’est le m\u00eame Esprit qui les accorde. Il y a diverses fa\u00e7ons de servir, mais c’est le m\u00eame Seigneur que l’on sert. Il y a diverses activit\u00e9s, mais c’est le m\u00eame Dieu qui les produit toutes en tous. En chacun l’Esprit Saint se manifeste par un don pour le bien de tous. L’Esprit donne \u00e0 l’un de parler selon la sagesse, et \u00e0 un autre le m\u00eame Esprit donne de parler selon la connaissance. Ce seul et m\u00eame Esprit donne \u00e0 l’un une foi exceptionnelle et \u00e0 un autre le pouvoir de gu\u00e9rir les malades. L’Esprit accorde \u00e0 l’un de pouvoir accomplir des miracles, \u00e0 un autre le don de transmettre des messages re\u00e7us de Dieu, \u00e0 un autre encore la capacit\u00e9 de distinguer les faux esprits du v\u00e9ritable Esprit. A l’un il donne la possibilit\u00e9 de parler en des langues inconnues et \u00e0 un autre la possibilit\u00e9 d’interpr\u00e9ter ces langues. C’est le seul et m\u00eame Esprit qui produit tout cela\u00a0; il accorde \u00e0 chacun un don diff\u00e9rent, comme il lui plait.<\/span><\/p>\n

J\u00e9sus dit la parabole suivante \u00e0 l’intention de ceux qui se croyaient justes aux yeux de Dieu et m\u00e9prisaient les autres\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Deux hommes mont\u00e8rent au temple pour prier\u00a0; l’un \u00e9tait Pharisien, l’autre collecteur d’imp\u00f4ts. Le Pharisien, debout, priait ainsi en lui-m\u00eame: \u00abO Dieu, je te remercie de ce que je ne suis pas comme le reste des hommes, qui sont voleurs, mauvais et adult\u00e8res\u00a0; je te remercie de ce que je ne suis pas comme ce collecteur d’imp\u00f4ts. Je je\u00fbne deux jours par semaine et je te donne le dixi\u00e8me de tous mes revenus.\u00bb Le collecteur d’imp\u00f4ts, lui, se tenait \u00e0 distance et n’osait pas m\u00eame lever les yeux vers le ciel, mais il se frappait la poitrine et disait\u00a0: \u00abO Dieu, aie piti\u00e9 de moi, qui suis un p\u00e9cheur.\u00bb Je vous le dis, ajouta J\u00e9sus, cet homme \u00e9tait en r\u00e8gle avec Dieu quand il retourna chez lui, mais pas le Pharisien. En effet, quiconque s’\u00e9l\u00e8ve sera abaiss\u00e9, mais celui qui s’abaisse sera \u00e9lev\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n
