Ainsi, puisque nous collaborons avec Dieu, nous vous en supplions\u00a0: ne n\u00e9gligez pas la gr\u00e2ce que vous avez re\u00e7ue de lui.\u00a0Dieu d\u00e9clare en effet\u00a0:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Au moment o\u00f9 se manifestait ma faveur, je t\u2019ai \u00e9cout\u00e9,\u00a0au jour du salut, je suis venu \u00e0 ton secours\u00a0z<\/sup>\u00a0.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Eh bien, voici maintenant le moment d\u2019accepter la faveur de Dieu\u00a0; voici le jour du salut.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Il ne faut pas que l\u2019on puisse critiquer notre fonction, c\u2019est pourquoi nous ne voulons scandaliser personne en quoi que ce soit.\u00a0Au contraire, nous cherchons en toutes circonstances \u00e0 nous pr\u00e9senter comme de vrais serviteurs de Dieu\u00a0: nous supportons avec beaucoup de patience les souffrances, les d\u00e9tresses et les angoisses.\u00a0On nous a battus et mis en prison, on a soulev\u00e9 le peuple contre nous\u00a0; accabl\u00e9s de travail, nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 priv\u00e9s de sommeil et de nourriture.\u00a0Nous nous montrons serviteurs de Dieu par notre puret\u00e9, notre connaissance, notre patience et notre bont\u00e9, par l\u2019action du Saint-Esprit, par notre amour sinc\u00e8re,\u00a0par notre pr\u00e9dication de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la puissance de Dieu. Nos armes offensives et d\u00e9fensives, c\u2019est de faire ce qui est juste aux yeux de Dieu.\u00a0On nous honore ou on nous couvre de m\u00e9pris\u00a0; on nous insulte ou on nous respecte. On nous regarde comme des menteurs alors que nous disons la v\u00e9rit\u00e9,\u00a0comme des inconnus alors que nous sommes bien connus, comme des mourants alors que nous sommes bien vivants. On nous punit, sans pourtant nous ex\u00e9cuter\u00a0;\u00a0on nous attriste et pourtant nous sommes toujours joyeux\u00a0; nous sommes pauvres, mais nous enrichissons beaucoup de gens\u00a0; nous paraissons ne rien avoir, nous qui, en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, poss\u00e9dons tout.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Evangile : St Matthieu 4, 1-11<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ensuite l\u2019Esprit de Dieu conduisit J\u00e9sus dans le d\u00e9sert pour qu\u2019il y soit tent\u00e9 par le diable.\u00a0Apr\u00e8s avoir pass\u00e9 quarante jours et quarante nuits sans manger, J\u00e9sus eut faim.\u00a0Le diable, le tentateur, s\u2019approcha et lui dit\u00a0:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Si\u00a0tu es le Fils de Dieu, ordonne \u00e0 ces pierres de se changer en pains.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0J\u00e9sus r\u00e9pondit\u00a0: L\u2019\u00c9criture d\u00e9clare\u00a0: \u00abL\u2019homme ne vivra pas de pain seulement, mais de toute parole que Dieu prononce\u00a0.\u00bb\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alors le diable l\u2019emmena jusqu\u2019\u00e0 J\u00e9rusalem, la ville sainte, le pla\u00e7a au sommet du temple\u00a0et lui dit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Si tu es le Fils de Dieu, jette-toi en bas\u00a0; car l\u2019\u00c9criture d\u00e9clare\u00a0: Dieu donnera pour toi des ordres \u00e0 ses anges\u00a0et ils te porteront sur leurs mains\u00a0pour \u00e9viter que ton pied ne heurte une pierre \u00bb.\u00a0J\u00e9sus lui r\u00e9pondit: L\u2019\u00c9criture d\u00e9clare aussi\u00a0: \u00abNe mets pas \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve le Seigneur ton Dieu.\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Le diable l\u2019emmena encore sur une tr\u00e8s haute montagne, lui fit voir tous les royaumes du monde et leur splendeur,\u00a0et lui dit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Je te donnerai tout cela, si tu te mets \u00e0 genoux devant moi pour m\u2019adorer.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0Alors J\u00e9sus lui dit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Va-t\u2019en, Satan\u00a0! Car l\u2019\u00c9criture d\u00e9clare\u00a0: Adore le Seigneur ton Dieu et ne rends de culte qu\u2019\u00e0 lui seul\u00bb.\u00a0Cette fois le diable le laissa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Des anges vinrent alors aupr\u00e8s de J\u00e9sus et se mirent \u00e0 le servir.<\/span><\/p>\n
