Il s\u2019est mis en qu\u00eate de tous les vestiges, remplois et traces des documents recherch\u00e9s, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 examiner les moindres indices. Il a identifi\u00e9, class\u00e9, \u00e9tiquet\u00e9, pour ouvrir la voie aux essais de reconstitution. Ce livre est un magnifique t\u00e9moignage rendu \u00e0 la f\u00e9conde cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 des anciennes \u00c9glises locales. Modeste comme on l\u2019est toujours devant des sources trop peu nombreuses et difficiles \u00e0 interpr\u00e9ter, l\u2019auteur donne \u00e0 son enthousiasme la forme de la rigueur.
